We currently have an opening for our Fleet Account Sales Manager position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Supervise activities relating to fleet truck sales to attain the goals regarding market share, unit sales, revenues, gross profits, expenses, and department profit as provided in the dealerships marketing and business plan.
Attain truck sales objective through telephone and personal contact with assigned accounts.
Responsible for truck specifications, truck change orders and all paperwork required to complete a transaction.
Responsible for understanding the customers needs and working with all departments to supply the best solution for the customer.
Responsible for providing parts and service support after the sale by working with internal and external support team.
Maintain awareness of current and projected market conditions. Develop and implement appropriate strategies to attain objectives with assigned accounts.
Responsible for coordinating truck deliveries and managing cost control over work done assigned accounts vehicles.
Responsible for customer calls, quotes, and sales closings with strategic accounts.
Manage and oversee customer relations, pricing, and truck orders to OEM.
Responsible for on highway new truck inventory control.
Responsible for cost control over internal work on new trucks vehicles.
Prepare an annual marketing plan and budget for fleet sales in New Truck Department.
Regularly monitor actual performance to plan and ascertain reason for any variance.
Interact daily with Finance and Insurance department.
Maintain awareness of current and projected market conditions. Develop and implement appropriate strategies and programs as necessary to attain the dealerships truck objectives.
Work with the sales manager regarding financial decisions as is coincides with the Finance and Insurance department, inventory management, employee performance, establishing objectives and operating controls.
Participate in recruitment of sales staff, training, and development.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS
Prepare reports to complete assigned job duties. Must stay current on all sales materials. Complete employee performance appraisals as needed for fleet sales department.
Enforce and comply with company policies and procedures, not to exclude safety guidelines. Responsible for delegating assignments according to business needs.
Attend meeting and civic functions as assigned.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
Skills in computer operation, interpersonal communication, credit and insurance. Knowledge of financial accounting, sales, and legal information including state and federal regulations.
Ability to deal effectively, listen, and communicate with all customers and co-workers. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Ability to read, listen, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in order to prepare official correspondence to customers and other sources.
Ability to supervise and make decisions.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
The position is located in the office environment, as well as duties performed outside. Mobility of walking, standing and bending is frequent.
Dexterity, hearing, and talking requirements are constant. Visual ability to detect situations of concern is constant. The employee will occasionally lift up to and over 50 pounds.
Must be able to meet the public and make decisions. Exposure to heat, cold, dust and dirt.
QUALIFICATIONS STANDARDS
Education
A high school diploma and / or GED is required. College degree in business preferred. Combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Experience
A minimum of five years experience in retail truck sales and two years of managerial experience preferred.
Licenses or Certificates
A valid drivers license is required. CDL with minimum of a Class B with air brake endorsement preferred.
Appearance / Uniforms
All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance. (Specific standards available)
Other
Normal Hours of Work : 8 A.M. until 5 P.M., Monday through Friday. Subject to change by Direct Supervisor and / or upper Management.
Overtime may be required with or without notice. Traveling may be required.
