Research Engineer, Post-Training Evals

• Note : This position requires presence in our San Francisco office location 4 days per week; Lambda’s designated work from home day is currently Tuesday.

What You’ll Do

Define and implement rigorous, reproducible methodologies for our core model evaluation suite.

Collaborate with post-training researchers to refine and enhance models for both research and production.

Partner with engineering and product teams to translate research insights into product features.

You

ML engineer with deep, hands-on experience in model evaluation or post-training.

Strong understanding of LLMs and multimodal models.

Thrive in collaborative, cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

Contributions to relevant open-source projects.

Publications in top ML conferences.

Salary Range Information

Based on market data and other factors, the annual salary range for this position is $185,000 to $275,000. However, a salary higher or lower than this range may be appropriate for a candidate whose qualifications differ meaningfully from those listed in the job description.
