Job Details :

• Work primarily 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday from 6 : 45 AM to 3 : 15 PM
• Call requirements include 1-2 weekdays (3 : 15 PM to 6 : 45 AM) and every 2-3 weekends (Friday 3 : 15 PM to Monday 6 : 45 AM)
• Must be willing to work all shifts including holidays on a rotating basis
• Minimum 3 years CVOR experience required
• Required certification : BLS
• Must be willing to cross-train into general OR and other specialties when CV volume is low
• May float to floors as helping hands or 1 : 1 sitter when OR volumes are low
• Work with 2 CVOR suites handling 1-3 cases per day
• Common cases include open hearts (CABG, valve, aneurysms), thoracotomies, VATS, Convergent, AAA, carotids, ION robotic cases, ECMO, Impella 5.5
• Experience required with open hearts, CABG, and valves
• Scrubbing not required for RNs
• 15-minute call response time required with 8-hour reprieve shifts available post-call
• CV RNs make their own call schedule as a group
• EPIC charting system used
• Scrubs provided
• Profile review and manager interview required
• Orientation includes 3-4 days hospital clinical orientation, EPIC class, unit orientation / modules, 4-5 days unit-based orientation, and 2 buddy call shifts

The facility features 2 CVOR suites and handles a full range of cardiac procedures including complex open heart surgeries, valve repairs, and advanced cardiovascular interventions.
