Lead Operations Coordinator

Join a locally owned and controlled agricultural cooperative with a strong legacyserving the region for over 75 years providing grain, agronomy and feed services. Our cooperative is committed to quality service, community-focused values, and advancing operational excellence in a dynamic ag environment.

As the Lead Operations Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting daily operational functionsyou will not be a location manager. Instead, you will work closely with operations leadership to streamline processes, manage inventory, dispatch resources, and support logistical planning. You'll help ensure timely movement of equipment and materials, improve workflows, and contribute to a strong operational backbone for the cooperative.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dispatching service crews and sprayers : scheduling, routing and coordinating equipment and personnel to support agronomy operations.
  • Manage inventory of supplies, materials, chemicals and partstrack usage, ordering, stock levels, and ensure accuracy of records.
  • Support coordination between departments (agribusiness, agronomy, grain, feed) to keep operations aligned and efficient.
  • Monitor and report on operational metrics, identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies, and recommend improvements.
  • Assist in implementing standard operating procedures and safety processes for operations team.
  • Provide support in busy seasons (e.g., planting, spraying, harvest) to ensure operations run smoothly.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to maintain high service levels.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience in operations coordination, logistics, dispatch, inventory management or related fieldideally in an agricultural or industrial setting.
  • Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, especially in seasonal high-demand periods.
  • Comfortable working with operational software or willing to learn (inventory systems, dispatch tools, spreadsheets).
  • Team-oriented mindset with willingness to support field operations and internal teams.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to coordinate with mobile assets in rural environments.
