Discovery Attorney - Insurance Litigation

Overview

A household name in insurance is seeking a Discovery Attorney to cover for a maternity leave. The role is expected to start in late November or early December and be 5 months in duration. This position is 100% remote and candidates can be anywhere in the continental US. Work is full-time (40 hours / week) during standard business hours.

Role requirements

Role requires : (a) an active license to practice law; (b) experience with the collection, review and protection of sensitive discovery production materials; (c) experience with legal research and drafting for discovery-related motions, objections, and responses. This is NOT a typical eDiscovery document review role.

Salary : $38 - $39 per hour

Shift : First

Work hours : 8 AM - 5 PM

Education : Bachelors

Responsibilities

• Identification of 30(b) corporate representatives and fact witnesses;
• Collection, review, and protection of sensitive discovery production materials; (Claim files, underwriting files, certified policies, emails, call recordings etc.);
• Identification and analysis of litigation-relevant business units, data sources / applications or custodians;
• Legal research and drafting for discovery-related motions, objections, or responses;
• Coordination of discovery work and data between outside counsel, internal counsel, and the business across a high-volume caseload.
