We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic medical geneticist to join our team at AdventHealth Medical Genetics & Genomics program in Orlando, Florida.

You would join our two other physicians and genetic counselors and continue to grow our dynamic program. The new physician would collaborate within our multidisciplinary teams of experienced clinicians in pediatric cardiology, gastroenterology, general pediatrics, hematology / oncology, MFM, neurology and transplantation surgery.

We aspire to provide comprehensive state of the art genetic and genomic services to all patients within the AdventHealth system (locally, regionally and nationally).

The new physician would have the ability to work in both an outpatient and inpatient setting along with fulfilling personal research and teaching interests.

Requirements include board eligibility or board certification in Clinical Genetics through the American Board of Medical Genetics & Genomics.

Our physicians are working directly with our state-of-the-art neonatology and pediatric liver transplant programs to develop a metabolic disorders program at AdventHealth for Children that will provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment for infants, children, and adolescents with various metabolic diseases.

Together with the pediatric liver transplantation program, we offer liver transplantation for children with urea cycle disorders, MSUD, MMA & PA.

Physicians have the ability to work with our research team where we conduct hundreds of clinical trials and studies each year designed to improve health care and find cures for a wide range of diseases.

Our world class team of researchers, clinical scientists and support staff is equipped to meet a wide array of research needs.

Practice Description This is an employed opportunity through AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG). These 30 hospitals refer patients for tertiary and quaternary services to our main location near downtown Orlando. Our newest program has brought pediatric liver transplant services to Central Florida.

In 2019 through 2023-2024, AdventHealth for Children is recognized by US News and World Report as the best Children’s Hospital for newborn care in Florida.

We are also recognized by The Leapfrog Group as a top Children’s Hospital for quality and safety, and we are a magnet designated hospital for nursing care.

Location Description AdventHealth for Children is conveniently close to many gorgeous homes, downtown urban living, shopping and great schools.

As one the most visited cities in the US, Orlando has world-class attractions including Universal Studios, Walt Disney World and numerous beaches.

The city also has many public and private universities and colleges. The newly built Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts hosts variety of musical and theatrical performances throughout the year.
