Exciting New Incentives : Loan Repayment Assistance Program up to $20,000 Lifetime : The Imaging Loan Repayment Assistance Program provides financial support to our Mercy Imaging co-workers in a 24X7 hospital based eligible position who are in a .4 FTE and above, working 32 hours or more per pay period. The program offers monthly payments made directly to the loan servicer up to the amount of $370 per month and up to $20,000 for a lifetime maximum. Overview : Perform radiographic procedures at a technical level, not requiring constant supervision of technical details. Assume responsibility for procedures performed. Performs related duties as assigned.Positions and transfers patients properly.Produces quality diagnostic radiographs.Selects and operates all radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment.Processes film.Provides radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards by shielding and collimation of the radiation beam.Administers contrast media under the direction of a physician and within the guidelines of the Radiology Department / Health System policies.Schedules radiology examinations in the correct manner.Accurately charges for supplies used.Completes all required continuing education.Demonstrates effective, courteous communication with patients, families, and other employees.Performs clerical duties such as answering the telephone, registering patients, filing, sorting, delivering reports, taking insurance information, reading reports to the physicians offices.Operates the Radiology Information System (RIS).Qualifications : Education : Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours. High school graduate or equivalent. Experience : Has acquired experience and possesses capability as determined to be adequate for the position.Certification / Registration : ARRT registry or registry eligible Achieved registry within 6 months of hire.Other : Technical skill in radiologic procedures. Understanding of basic anatomy.
