Assistant Professor - English
Job Summary
The Department of English at the University of North Georgia is currently searching for a full-time faculty member to teach first-year composition courses and secondary English education courses for majors.
A requirement for the pedagogy course is observing student teachers at area schools. This position starts at the Assistant Professor level and is tenure track.
Responsibilities
- Responsibilities include teaching English courses as assigned. Teaching assignments will be primarily in first-year composition courses and upper-level education courses for English Teacher Certification students.
- A requirement for the pedagogy course is observing student teachers at area schools.
- This position, in the Department of English, also liaises with Education faculty.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. required.
- Candidates will hold a degree in English, Comparative Literature, Rhetoric & Composition, or other equivalent discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
Secondary school and college teaching experience is preferred.
