Job Summary
The Pipe Layer performs all labor tasks as assigned by supervisor related to installing utilities and pipelines.
Essential Functions
- Acts as lead laborer to carry out directions as assigned by Foreman.
- Responsible for the proper installation of pipelines and other utilities.
- Be aware of and responsive to safety issues related to excavation and trenching.
- Monitors excavations and shoring systems for safety and communicates to Foreman.
- Ensures pipe and fittings are installed in the proper manner as specified.
- Assists in developing and testing plans for each project, assists in carrying them out.
- Performs related work as assigned.

This is a full time position. 40 hours per week and may require longer hours including evenings, weekends and overtime.
Travel
Occasional travel is required.
Required Education and Experience
High School diploma or GED.One year experience in pipe laying.Basic understanding of OSHA regulations related to trenching, shoring and confined spaces.Valid driver’s license.Preferred Education and Experience
