ASAP Health Office Substitute
A substitute for the Health Office provides first aid and emergency treatment, illness monitoring, and uncomplicated medical tasks for which they have been specifically trained to complete. A Health Office Substitute is contacted on an as needed basis and is assigned based on their availability.
Responsibilities
- After initial training, under the remote supervision and direction of the Full-Time Health Office Professional, the Health Office Substitute will follow established policies and procedures to perform assigned medical tasks. These tasks may include but are not limited to...
Provide services to students with chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, asthma, allergies, etc.
Distribute medications as prepared by the Health Office Professional.Documentation of medical tasks and completing reports as needed.Communicating with supervising Health Office staff, school, and district personnel.Providing first aid and responding to emergencies in the school according to established proceduresMonitor and care for minor illness in the Health Office while waiting for parent arrival.Qualifications
Certification / License / Degree in Medicine or Nursing : Will consider Advanced Practice Providers, Nurses (RN or LPN), Paramedics, and EMTsMust be CPR CertifiedWill need to pass a Criminal History ClearanceFeels comfortable working with preschool children through adults.$25.00 hourlyPlease apply online if interested.
