Job descriptionDesign of highway, municipal, and site development improvements, including roadway elements, site grading, storm drainage, water main distribution systems, sanitary sewer collection systems, and other site or public utilities. Preparation of local, state and federal permit applications. Identifying and handling compliance with regulatory agencies. Collaborating with design staff. The salary range for this position is $75,000-$82,000. (Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience and skill set, as well as internal and external equity.) Transportation Engineer minimum qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- EIT certification preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year of relatable experience in transportation engineering, highway design, and local street design.
- MicroStation and Civil 3D experience is preferred.
- Candidates with additional years of experience are encouraged to apply.
- Knowledge of IDOT, CDOT, municipal and IL Tollway design and standards a plus.
