Product Portfolio Manager – Internal Systems & Back Office Tools
Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Product Portfolio Manager with our customer, the largest distributor of building supplies in the United States. This is a permanent position offering a base salary of $150,000 – $170,000 per year plus a 40% annual bonus. The role will be performed on a hybrid schedule — onsite 1–3 days per week, split between Beloit and Chicago.
This Product Portfolio Manager will oversee the internal systems portfolio supporting credit, finance, accounting, HR, and BI tools. The role focuses on driving stability, scalability, and process optimization across core business applications and integrations. This position leads a team of 4–6 Product Managers, ensuring that technology investments align with operational priorities and deliver measurable business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Own the product strategy and roadmap for internal and back-office systems (finance, accounting, HR, BI, legal).
- Manage a portfolio including third-party integrations, ERP enhancements, and internal custom applications.
- Oversee in-app configuration, data integrations, and process automation.
- Partner with stakeholders in Finance, Accounting, and IT to define and deliver business outcomes.
- Ensure smooth delivery and alignment across multiple vendor and internal platforms.
- Develop reporting frameworks and BI tools that improve visibility and decision-making.
- Lead a team of Product Managers, providing mentorship, coaching, and performance management.
- Balance tactical system improvements with strategic modernization initiatives.
- Promote a disciplined, outcome-oriented product management culture.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in Product or Portfolio Management with a focus on internal business systems.Hands-on experience supporting Finance, Credit, Accounting, HR, or BI platforms.Strong understanding of enterprise integrations, data flows, and system configuration.Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional delivery teams.Ability to align technology solutions with standard business processes and operational needs.Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and change management skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder management experience.Details
