The Marketing & Growth Organization is AT&T’s marketing engine, responsible for driving sustainable growth by deeply understanding and championing our customers, captivating them with compelling products, services and experiences; and building a culturally relevant and beloved brand. Overall Purpose :

Responsible for supporting the Marketing Strategy and Brand Strategy organization. They use their analytical prowess, data fluency, and deep cross-team relationships to quickly become experts on customers, competitors, channels, partners, and AT&T brands. Their understanding of these areas enables a greater understanding of implications of a potential strategy before the recommendation is even made. They disseminate and codify this knowledge in the form of fact bases, case studies, and initial execution planning for key workstreams.

Key Roles and Responsibilities :

  • The Lead Strategist is focused on supporting the marketing and brand strategies that enable business units to anticipate and deliver on customer needs, address customer pain points, evolve perceptions and tap into motivations that are critical to driving incredibly strong and lasting customer relationships that will contribute to business growth.
  • The role requires the Lead Strategist to deeply understand, take into account and be able to demonstrate proficiency in how AT&T businesses work and operate, and how we drive revenue and share.
  • The Lead Strategist will become an expert on our product and service portfolio, understanding what products have the most potential and how each element of the portfolio fits together to present a compelling, easy to understand way for consumers to get the connectivity services they need. Lead Strategists are expected to be familiar with the company’s most important strategic levers and priorities, as well as the constantly changing competitive environment, including emerging competitors.
  • A Lead Strategist should be able to identify unique customer insights (where customers are now and what is emerging as important for them), have the ability to turn facts and deep analytics into novel findings, and have a sense of the operational implications of recommendations.
  • They must be skilled influencers, and be able to partner with colleagues of all levels and functional areas to get them to execute on the recommendations.

Typical outputs :

Portfolio strategy and brand architecture, value propositions and positioning, segmentation and targeting, messaging frameworks, new product and feature ideation, market and opportunity sizing / verification, journey maps and CX analysis, brand health analysis, business cases, new brand development, marketing plans, marketing brief insights and inputs, brand guidance and guidelines, brand and company vision, 3-year strategic plan and more.

Our Lead Marketing and Brand Strategy earn between $130,700 - $196,100 USD USD Annual. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education / training.
