About IPSD

Caterpillar's Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) designs, tests and manufactures 0.5 to 18L engines that not only power Caterpillar machines, but also power over 5000 other applications including Marine, Petroleum, Industrial Applications, Electric Generators, and Locomotives. Caterpillar in Seguin, Texas is seeking a dynamic Production Technician II to join our team on our C9 diesel engine applications production line! In this role, you will be at the forefront of innovation, working hands-on to assemble, test, and troubleshoot our cutting-edge equipment. What you will do :

• Align and secure engine components according to work instructions
• Install gaskets, seals, bearings, hoses, covers, and visual components
• Ensure parts and materials used in assembly are defect-free
• Assist in problem-solving and improvement initiatives across departments
• Verify correct alignment of engine components using schematics and part prints
• Inspect parts and materials for quality defects
• Conduct audits and quality inspections to address known defects
• Perform torque audits, leak tests, and visual inspections on engines
• Submit and support resolution of C.P.S. Continuous Improvement cards
• Adhere to standard operating procedures and area-specific instructions
• Collaborate with other departments to address assembly-related challenges and suggest improvements
• Provide information to supervisors and managers regarding processes in the assigned area
• Occasionally participate in training and development
• Perform any other assigned duties

Summary Pay Range : $19.05 - $23.20
