Job Details : Purpose
The Epic Revenue Cycle Application Manager is a strategic and operational leader responsible for overseeing the implementation, optimization, and sustainment of Epic Revenue Cycle applications across a large, integrated healthcare system. This role manages a team of application analysts and collaborates closely with operational leaders, IT, and Epic Systems to ensure the successful deployment and performance of revenue cycle modules.
Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Epic-certified analysts supporting all Revenue Cycle modules.
Oversee resource planning, workload distribution, performance management, and professional development.
Foster a collaborative, accountable, and service-oriented team culture aligned with enterprise goals.
Epic Implementation & Optimization
Direct the design, build, testing, and deployment of Epic Revenue Cycle applications, ensuring alignment with operational workflows and regulatory requirements.
Serve as the primary point of contact for Epic Systems and internal stakeholders regarding Revenue Cycle application strategy and issue resolution.
Coordinate cross-functional workstreams across Ambulatory, Optime, and specialty care to ensure seamless integration of scheduling, registration, billing, and claims processes.
Managing communication and organizational change alignment.
Operational Alignment & Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with Revenue Cycle leadership (e.g., Patient Access, Billing, Coding, Finance) to translate business needs into Epic functionality.
Facilitate design and validation sessions, ensuring workflows support accurate charge capture, reimbursement, and patient financial experience.
Support change management efforts, including communication planning, training coordination, and stakeholder readiness.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including optimization projects, upgrades, and new feature rollouts.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Integration
Work closely with technical teams (ECSA, infrastructure, DBA, integration) to ensure system stability, data integrity, and interoperability.
Support integration with third-party systems including clearinghouses, financial platforms, and patient engagement tools.
Participate in Epic governance structures to ensure consistency, standardization, and alignment across modules and entities.
Maintain documentation of build decisions, workflows, and change control processes.
Ensuring alignment with compliance, legal, and patient experience goals.
Marginal or Periodic Functions :
Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.
Performs related duties as required.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in a health, science, or business field, or in lieu of a degree, five (5) years of related professional experience supporting clinical, ancillary, or business environments will be considered.
Strong knowledge of clinical information systems, clinical informatics, data management and administration.
Experience and proven success in information systems implementation, development and support within a large-scale healthcare organization required.
Must have demonstrated experience working with clinicians in a support and / or educational role. Able to exercise problem-solving skills, good judgment based on guiding principles, and organizational policies / practices.
Excellent verbal and written skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Experience managing teams. Must be customer focused
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
5+ years of experience in Epic Revenue Cycle applications, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
Epic certifications in one or more Revenue Cycle modules (e.g., Cadence, Resolute PB / HB, Prelude, Claims, SBO).
Strong understanding of healthcare billing, coding, registration, scheduling, and reimbursement processes.
Proven experience managing Epic implementations in large, multi-entity health systems.

$143,500 + depending on qualifications
