Job Description

Develop and implement comprehensive tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, as well as international tax requirements.

Oversee tax reporting, audits, and filings while maintaining accurate and timely documentation.

Provide strategic guidance on mergers, acquisitions, and other financial transactions from a tax perspective.

Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.

Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, assessing their impact on the business.

Collaborate with internal departments and external advisors to ensure tax-efficient business practices.

Identify opportunities for tax savings and process improvements, driving value for the organization.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Tax should have :

• A strong background in tax compliance, planning, and strategy within the retail industry.
• Proven expertise in federal, state, and international tax regulations.
• Leadership skills to manage and develop a team effectively.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on detail.
• Strong communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a CPA or similar certification is preferred.
