Position Overview
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the accounting and financial reporting functions for multiple clients. This includes preparing financial statements, budgets, and audit support schedules, as well as presenting financial information to Boards of Directors. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing competing priorities while leading a team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee accounting operations for multiple special district clients.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Develop and monitor annual budgets, providing analysis and variance explanations.
Prepare audit support schedules and liaise with external auditors.
Present financial results and updates to Boards of Directors in clear, professional formats.
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring accuracy and efficiency of client deliverables.
Manage multiple clients and deadlines, prioritizing tasks in response to shifting needs.
Support process improvements and implement best practices across engagements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required (CPA a plus).
Experience in special districts, governmental accounting, or similar environments strongly preferred.
Proven ability to prepare and present financial statements and budgets.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and audit processes.
Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple, competing priorities.
Supervisory experience with the ability to coach and develop staff.
Strong communication skills with confidence presenting to Boards and stakeholders.
Salary : up to $115K for commensurate experience
