We're looking for an experienced mobile engineer to join our Swift squad—a team of dedicated engineers working on the next version of our Apple Design Award winning iOS app, tvOS app, and macOS app. We enjoy a strong relationship with Apple, allowing us to push the boundaries of what we can build across our platforms, and our team members are constantly challenging and evolving how we build.

Success in this role is shipping, maintaining and iterating on best-in-class iOS, tvOS, macOS apps that enable our customers to do their best work.

What You’ll Do

• Build our flagship iOS app and lead by creating fluid interfaces that remain smooth and responsive with large datasets

• Define and refine architecture, technologies and development practices that will be used across the product

• Contribute to a growing team of engineers on sustainable engineering practices balancing beauty, scale, and performance

• Receive and offer technical feedback through pair programming and code reviews

• Promote engineering excellence with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability

• Collaborate closely with design, product and leadership to understand what our needs will be in the years to come, and align our technology roadmap to support that vision

• Partner with web and backend teams to design effective cross-platform API contracts and dataflows

What You’ll Need To Succeed

• An extensive portfolio of gorgeous mobile experiences which you owned from concept to launch, including substantial architecture design and contribution

• A love of product design, polished interfaces, and exceptional products

• Experience building pixel-perfect, robust, and accessible user interfaces on iOS

• Experience balancing local and remote data representations to enable sophisticated real-time interface interactions with animation, orchestration and responsiveness

• Swift fluency and experience with Combine, Concurrency, and GraphQL

• Experience designing and developing features that fully take advantage of the device and OS features that are unique to native mobile apps, Live Activities, App Intents, CoreImage or similar

• A dedication to learning and sharing ideas with your fellow engineers

• Relevant Bachelor's degree and/or an advanced degree in a related field or equivalent business experience. 5+ years of experience experience of iOS development

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The pay range for this position is $139,000 -- $257,550 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In California, the pay range for this position is $177,900 - $257,550 In New York, the pay range for this position is $177,900 - $257,550 In Colorado, the pay range for this position is $155,700 - $225,450 In Illinois, the pay range for this position is $155,700 - $225,450 In Massachusetts, the pay range for this position is $155,700 - $225,450 In Washington, the pay range for this position is $161,700 - $234,150

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
