Overview
Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional II (QIDP II) – Corpus Christi, TX. The QIDP II is central to the overall responsiveness and effectiveness of an individual's active treatment program at a State Supported Living Center (SSLC) through oversight of the Individual Support Plan (ISP) process, which is centered on the individual's preferences, strengths, and needs, and includes the creation of the ISP. The position works with individuals who have complex needs and may exhibit aggressive and / or self-injurious behaviors. The centers provide campus-based direct services and supports at 13 centers located throughout the state.

Responsibilities
- Orchestrate and oversee the ISP process for all individuals on the assigned caseload, including facilitation and documentation of IDT meetings throughout the year : ISP Preparation, ISP Addendum, and Annual ISP. Some locations may delegate annual ISP meeting facilitation to specific QIDPs.
- Ensure assessments and evaluations are conducted to determine current functioning, preferences, strengths, needs, and recommendations; coordinate and facilitate participation of the individual and, when appropriate, the Legally Authorized Representative (LAR) with staff in the development and delivery of supports and services.
- Ensure timely follow-up for recommendations on supports, services, equipment, or programs; monitor progress and modify as needed based on ISP outcomes and changes in behavioral or health status.
- Observe and interact with individuals across settings; collect and analyze ISP implementation data; coordinate with the IDT for modifications as needed for progress or improved effectiveness.
- Train and coach staff in service delivery, behavior management, and program implementation; provide leadership and role modeling to various staff levels.
- Work with behavioral health staff to ensure behavioral needs are integrated into the ISP; monitor and evaluate ISP documentation monthly and provide recommendations for interventions or revisions.
- Ensure client protections, follow Human Rights Committee processes for potentially restrictive practices, and advocate for individuals.
- Maintain electronic records and complete documentation in compliance with ICF / IID standards and deadlines; participate in disaster response / COOP duties as required.
Qualifications and KSAs
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college / university with a major in psychology, sociology, social work, special education, rehabilitation counseling, or related human services field; related coursework may be reviewed for applicability.At least one (1) year of experience working or volunteering directly with persons with intellectual or developmental disabilities.Knowledge of the IDT process, person-centered planning, rehabilitation and skills acquisition programs, and disorders related to intellectual disabilities; ability to coordinate clinical services and prepare / maintain records.Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to assess, solve problems, work independently, organize / prioritize work, and adapt to change.Ability to work with staff at all levels and with LARs; ability to perform direct care work as needed, including emergency procedures; skills in facilitating IDT meetings and using electronic records systems.Knowledge of or ability to develop knowledge of PBSPs and PNMPs; experience with data collection and analysis for ISP effectiveness.Licensure and Screening
Registrations, Licensure, or Certifications : None required.Initial screening criteria include a Bachelor's degree in specified fields and at least one year of relevant experience; transcript review for applicable coursework if from related fields.Applicants must pass background checks, fingerprinting, pre-employment drug screen, CANRS, Nurse Aide, Medication Aide, and LEIE checks; Selective Service registration for certain applicants; random drug testing for state employees.Work Details and Benefits
