Position Overview
The International Tax Director will be responsible for overseeing the global tax strategy and ensuring compliance with international tax laws and regulations. This role aims to optimize the company's tax position while managing risks associated with international operations. The director will lead a team of tax professionals and collaborate with various departments to align tax strategies with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement international tax strategies to optimize the company's global tax position.
- Ensure compliance with international tax laws and regulations, including BEPS and transfer pricing requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential tax liabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
- Oversee tax audits and manage relationships with external tax advisors and regulatory authorities.
- Prepare and review tax provisions and financial reporting related to international operations.
- Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the organization.
- Collaborate with finance, accounting, and legal teams to ensure alignment of tax planning with business operations.
- Provide leadership on international tax compliance and reporting for U.S. and foreign jurisdictions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; advanced degrees such as JD, LLM, or MBT preferred.CPA certification required.Minimum of 10 years of experience in international tax, with a focus on transfer pricing, tax compliance, and planning.In-depth knowledge of international tax laws, risk assessment, and tax legislation.Experience in the service industry, construction, or sectors related to national security and critical infrastructure is a plus.Strong leadership skills and experience managing teams.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficient in tax software such as OneSource and familiarity with SOX 404 compliance.Benefits
