What You'll Do
- Take ownership of daily orchard operations from planting and pruning to harvest and beyond.
- Monitor orchards for plant health, pests, and soil conditions while implementing cutting-edge growing practices.
- Lead and mentor a diverse workforce, ensuring safety, productivity, and teamwork.
- Oversee crop schedules, spray programs, irrigation, and nutrient applications.
- Be the go-to leader during harvest directing crews, coordinating equipment, and delivering results.
- Keep accurate records and stay ahead of compliance standards (food safety, pesticide applications, etc.).
- Collaborate with the management team while also rolling up your sleeves in the field.
What We're Looking For
At least 5 years of orchard management experience (commercial apple production strongly preferred).A strong horticultural background with a passion for modern, sustainable practices.Experience managing pesticide programs on a farm / orchard.Excellent communication skills in English (Spanish proficiency a big plus!).A leader who can balance planning with hands-on work and motivate others to do their best.Tech-savvy with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and a knack for accurate record-keeping.Valid driver's license required; pesticide applicator license (or ability to obtain) needed.Mechanical aptitude is a bonus!What You'll Get
