Job Overview :

The Mental Health Associate functions as a care partner with the Registered Nurse to provide nursing care to a diagnostically / developmentally specific patient population; under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, the MHA provides therapeutic interventions and treatments. Also, responsible for unit support activities and clerical / administrative functions as directed. Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors / walls / ceiling tiles / unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc

Qualifications : Required :

• Bachelor's degree in psychology-related field OR 5 years of related experience in a psychiatric services setting
• BLS Certification through the American Heart Association
• Valid NJ Driver's license
