Job Details – ER RN Travel Contract Location : Albuquerque, NM 87106 (New Mexico nursing jobs) Facility Type : Level I Trauma, Teaching, and Children's Hospital Assignment Length : 13 weeks Start Date : January 12, 2026 Shifts : Night shifts, 4x12-hour (19 : 00 - 07 : 30) or 3x12-hour (36 or 48 hours / week) Estimated Weekly Salary : $1800-$1840 Patient Ratio : 1 : 5 Guaranteed Hours : 36 / 48 / 40 hours per week (facility may call off up to 3 shifts per 13-week assignment) Orientation : 24 hours Parking : Free on-site parking Charting System : Cerner Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (NM license can be pending at time of submission) Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience (Level I Trauma experience preferred; 1.5 years considered for exceptional candidates) Certifications required : ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (must have TNCC prior to submission), NIHSS (can be obtained before compliance deadline) Travel nursing experience strongly preferred No local candidates within 75 miles COVID-19 vaccination required (medical / religious exemptions accepted with documentation) Flu vaccination required (medical / religious exemptions accepted) Ability to float to Adult PCU and ED Holding as needed Comfortable with high admit rates and ED holding ER Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population Administer medications, including IV medications, following safety protocols and barcode scanning Accurately document and communicate clinical findings Manage trauma, resuscitation, and acute medical emergencies Perform triage, phlebotomy, arterial and central line management, and procedural sedation Care for patients with neuro-trauma, orthopedic trauma, spinal cord injuries, and traumatic brain injuries Float to Adult PCUs and ED Holding as required Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and social services Maintain compliance with hospital policies and participate in ongoing training and orientation modules Albuquerque is a top destination for travel nurses, offering outdoor adventure, cultural festivals, and a welcoming healthcare community.
