The Junior Security Operations Analyst will play a critical role in maintaining the security and integrity of our systems and network infrastructure. In this role, you’ll monitor security alerts, investigate incidents, analyze vulnerabilities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations. Responsibilities

  • Monitor and respond to security alerts and potential incidents.
  • Investigate security breaches and recommend remediation steps.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and track remediation progress.
  • Support implementation and maintenance of security tools and technologies.
  • Collaborate with teams across the organization to ensure security compliance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, investigations, and security processes.
  • Stay current on cybersecurity threats, trends, and best practices.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, protocols, and technologies.
  • Familiarity with tools such as SIEM, IDS / IPS, firewalls, and antivirus solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, Network+, CISSP) are a plus.
  • Some hands-on experience through coursework, labs, or platforms such as Security+, ISE2 Basic, HackTheBox, TryHackMe, or other free learning tools is valued.
  • Hybrid role : primarily remote but must be within 1 hour of Cleveland, OH for on-site support during critical incidents.
  • Must be willing to work shift rotations after onboarding (12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays).
  • This role has weekly onsite requirements in Cleveland, OH.
