Job Summary and Responsibilities :

Summary :

The Outside Plant Field Inspector is present on fiber optic construction projects to ensure that the fiber cable is being constructed properly and meeting the project requirements.

The field staff will coordinate the various activities on the project and also take detailed field records of the installed fiber cable.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned :

• OSP Fiber Planners and Field Inspectors route and determine fiber placement
• Running a locator & rodder to identify proper conduit placement & depths
• Reviewing permits and ROW
• Overall supervision and project management
• Inspecting quality and recording field records
• OSP field inspector work is split between in office and out in the field work

• Valid US Driver's license
• Ability to read and understand maps, drawings and diagrams for fiber construction
