Responsibilities
Management
- Responsible for field and project engineering.
- Assist the Project Superintendent and Project Manager in establishing the construction plan, site logistics plan, and engineering methods.
- Subcontract administration : defining scope of work, answering inquiries, monitoring progress, tracking, and processing payments.
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of the project schedule and costing system.
- Responsible for quality control, contract administration, shop drawing review, submittals, scheduling, and related support functions.
- Materials procurement and expediting.
- Assist with equipment selection and rental coordination.
- Inventory control : monitoring and tracking of equipment and resources.
- Change order management : administrating, pricing, submission, and tracking.
- Coordinate and review drawings, submissions, specifications, changes, and document control.
- Ensure the quality and timeliness of construction deliverables.
- Provide high-standard results to clients.
- Travel to job sites to provide support for Superintendent and Project Manager.
Time Management

Prepare and track progress payments and estimates.Review subcontractor bids and compile project budget.Prepare and submit change orders. Review subcontractor change orders for accuracy.Analytical Skills
Ability to solve problems that come up during day-to-day operations.Ability to analyze data.Support the Superintendent and Project Manager's decision-making efforts that affect the project on a regular basis.Work together with the Superintendent and Project Manager to evaluate problems and establish best-fit solutions with consideration to both the engineering and business aspects of the project.Relationship Building
Ability to develop both new and maintain existing client relationships.Maintain the companys relationship with project architects and other consultants while encouraging other team members to develop and maintain these relationships.Leadership

Experience
Recommended 1-3 years of experience with increasing responsibility in the construction industry, preferably as a Project Engineer.Education
BS / BA in Building Science, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.Software

Excellent communication and listening skills.Well-organized and reliable with great attention to detail.Ability to resolve complex issues with a can-do attitude.Must be able to commute to our office in Irvine.
