ACCESS SERVICES LIBRARIAN
The Access Services Librarian provides leadership in delivering responsive, user-centered services as the primary public services point of contact for students, faculty, and visitors.
This position oversees the daily operations of Access Services—including circulation, collection access and stack maintenance, course reserves, and media equipment—ensuring that collections and materials are available, organized, and discoverable.
In addition to managing access services operations and its student staffing, the librarian serves as coordinator of campus-wide Open Educational Resources (OER) initiatives, acts as the institutional liaison to the Virtual Library of Virginia (VIVA), and backup to the Resource Sharing Librarian. The position also serves as a departmental liaison and contributes to the library’s Collection Development team, supporting the strategic management of the library’s resources and services.
The Access Services Librarian collaborates closely with library and campus partners to provide seamless, efficient service delivery and continuous improvement in user experience, nurturing a welcoming and inclusive environment that promotes engagement, research, and learning.

Pay is competitive, and salary is commensurate with experience. This full-time position offers a full benefits package, including paid tuition at the College for eligible dependents.
