Director, Product Analytics

The Director of Product Analytics will be a key leader in our Analytics organization, overseeing the data science teams that support Tinder's core product experiences, including Browse, Modes, Chat, Onboarding, Profile, and Tailor. You'll lead and mentor a team of data scientists responsible for driving product strategy through rigorous analysis, experimentation, and cross-functional collaboration. This role will be the primary analytics partner to senior leaders across Product, Design, and Engineering. You'll help shape the direction of Tinder by guiding product decisions with data, developing a forward-thinking analytics roadmap, and amplifying the impact of your team.
This is a hybrid role and requires in-office collaboration three days per week. The position is located in West Hollywood, CA.
In This Role, You Will :
- Lead and grow a team of 5+ data scientists supporting Tinder's core product surfaces.
- Be a thought partner to Product and cross-functional leaders, providing strategic insight into user behavior, product performance, and future opportunity areas.
- Develop and drive an analytics roadmap that aligns with product priorities and organizational objectives.
- Promote a rigorous experimentation and testing culture, ensuring statistically sound A / B testing frameworks are in place and well understood.
- Shape product investment decisions through quantitative opportunity sizing, performance modeling, and forecasting.
- Provide high-quality storytelling through data, connecting tactical outcomes to strategic business objectives.
- Champion consistency in data definitions, experimentation practices, and metrics across your domain.
- Cultivate a culture of curiosity, learning, and technical excellence within your team.
- Partner closely with Design, Marketing, Finance, and Engineering to build aligned strategies.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in analytics, experimentation, and behavioral scienceand encourage your team to do the same.

A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Quantitative Social Science). A Master's degree or PhD is preferred.8+ years of experience in analytics or data science, with at least 5 years of experience managing and mentoring data scientists.A proven track record of using data to inform high-impact product decisions and influence senior stakeholders.Deep expertise in experimentation (A / B testing design and interpretation) and causal inference methods.Excellent storytelling skills and the ability to translate complex analyses into compelling business narratives.Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence across multiple levels and functions.Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python (or R), and familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau and Mode.Passion for Tinder's mission and a desire to understand and improve human connection through data.As a Full-Time Employee, You'll Enjoy :

The salary range for this position is $215,000$250,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education / training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary range is reflective of a position based in Los Angeles, CA. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
