Purpose :
Evaluate and provide training to residents in daily living and social skills in order to assist them in achieving and maintaining their maximum level of functioning and independent community living.
Essential Responsibilities , include but are not limited to :
Evaluate and provide training to residents in daily living skills including, but not limited
to : personal hygiene and grooming (which may involve physically assisting individuals to complete the tasks), housekeeping, laundry and clothing care, meal planning and preparation, money management and budgeting, socialization, and recreation leisure activities.
Implement group and individual programs which promote growth and development toward independent living skills for residents.
Assist residents in preparation of daily schedules to include performance of household chores, social activities, and other meetings and appointments.
Complete and ensure the timelines of all assigned documents and forms to include daily progress reports, CILA shift reports, van log sheets, incident reports, MAR sheets, etc.
Monitor maintenance of living facility to assure safe, clean and healthy environment for individuals. Perform cleaning and housekeeping duties such as, but not limited to : vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, and mopping, monitor and assist residents with daily bedroom maintenance.

EDUCATION, SKILLS, and / or EXPERIENCE :
Two years of college or one year of college plus two years of full-time related work experience or high school diploma or equivalent plus five years full-time related work experience required.
Completion of 40-hour training program provided by BCBA staff based on the RBT List and ability to pass the RBT Competency Assessment per BCBA guidelines within 90 days of completing the RBT training.
Must have proof of Direct Service Professional (DSP) training and pass TABE test prior to hire.
Must pass a fitness for duty exam.
Must complete Safety Care training.
Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive agency vehicles.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, physical requirements may include standing, walking, and sitting; seeing; hearing and listening; clear speech; dexterity and use of hands and fingers. Must be able to push, pull, and lift 50lbs. Candidate should be able to comfortably bend, sit and get up from seated position. Candidate will also need to be able to perform physical intervention techniques (to include but not limited to 1- or 2-person transfer, kneeling, blocking, moving away from flying objects, etc.). Candidate should not have any physical limitations that will prevent them from performing ALL essential and physical duties of this job.
