Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
1. Exceptional Customer Service : Provide friendly and professional service in accordance with Valley's mission statement.
2. Product Knowledge : Understand all Bank products and services, educate and demonstrate them to customers, and cross-sell various products and services.
3. Professional Demeanor : Present a confident and professional demeanor to establish trust and gain knowledge from the customer. Analyze needs and recommend appropriate products and services.
4. Financial Needs : Meet with customers to analyze financial needs and maximize sales opportunities. Offer all bank products and assist with other service needs, open new accounts, discuss and sell loan products, and promote online and mobile banking.
5. Customer Service Standards : Meet customer expectations and achieve service quality standards. Participate in the sales referral process, ensure customer financial needs are met, and assist management in coaching and mentoring branch staff.
6. Transaction Efficiency : Perform all transactions required by a customer, use appropriate technology effectively, maintain and balance a cash box, and utilize technology such as Teller Scanning Equipment, Cash Recycling, and Cash Dispensing machines.
7. Vault Teller : Ensure adequacy of Branch cash for daily transactions by assisting the branch staff in ordering and shipping currency, coin, and distributing cash to Tellers in prescribed limits.
8. Community Involvement : Assist in community events and support CRA initiatives, activities, and programs.
9. Compliance : Report all significant matters, issues, and unusual customer activity to Manager, maintain personal knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements, and adhere to the Bank's Code of Conduct and all policies and procedures.
