Accounts Receivable Specialist

A company is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist II responsible for ensuring timely collection of outstanding healthcare insurance receivables.

Key Responsibilities

Verify and obtain patient eligibility and authorization for healthcare services

Conduct research on unpaid or denied claims and monitor claims for missing information

Contact payers to secure payment of claims and write appeal letters for technical appeals

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED

At least two years of experience in healthcare insurance accounts receivable follow-up

Experience identifying billing errors and resubmitting claims

Knowledge of accounts receivable practices and medical business office procedures

At least two years of experience with accounts receivable software
