Job descriptionAssist with overseeing day-to-day operations. Design strategy and set goals for growth. Maintain budgets and optimize expenses. Set policies and processes. Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally. Oversee recruitment and training of new employees. Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance. Direct the employee assessment process. Prepare regular reports for upper management. Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations. Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors). Ability to work flexible schedules / shifts. Possess a valid driver’s license in the state of residence. Able to do the following with or without reasonable accommodation : Lift, bend, reach above the head, kneel, crouch, and / or stretch during shifts up to 10 hours long. Lift, push, pull and move boxes up to 70 pounds each. Move up and down stairs. High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience interacting with Independent Contractors (Delivery Service Providers). Excellent interpersonal skills. Previous experience with final mile deliveries. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and analytical skills. Demonstrated communication skills (written and verbal). Spanish speaking preferred.
Operations Manager Role :
- The Operations Manager will assist General Manager in executing the overall direction and coordination of the local business unit.
- This role will lead-safe work practices and lean management of the transportation and delivery function.
- The Operations Manager will work closely with the Team to ensure accountability for inbound / outbound logistics.
- They will report to General Manager.
