The CNC Machine Setup Operator is responsible for setting up and operating a variety of CNC machines—including mills, lathes, and routers—to produce precision parts that meet established quality and safety standards. This position requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities :
- Set up and operate CNC machines according to job requirements, setup sheets, and blueprints.
- Install and adjust tooling, fixtures, and materials for each job.
- Load and verify programs; make necessary offset or tool adjustments.
- Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring tools.
- Troubleshoot machining or dimensional issues and make corrections as needed.
- Monitor machines during production runs to maintain part quality and consistency.
- Maintain accurate records of setups, inspections, and production activity.
- Keep equipment and work areas organized, clean, and safe.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, programmers, and quality staff to resolve issues quickly.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school preferred.Previous CNC setup and operation experience (Haas, Fanuc, or similar controls).Ability to read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, and work instructions.Strong understanding of G-code, tooling, feeds, and speeds.Proficient with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges.Mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and reliable.Team-oriented with the ability to work independently.Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods.Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
