Overview : Our Client is seeking a seasoned technology leader to oversee the strategic alignment of enterprise financial systems with broader business objectives. This role will be responsible for leading a cross-functional team of internal staff and external partners to drive innovation, operational excellence, and risk mitigation across the organization’s financial systems landscape. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership acumen, and business insight, with a particular emphasis on JD Edwards (JDE) functional and technical capabilities, including orchestration and automation.
Reporting Structure : This position reports directly to the Director of Information Technology.
Team Leadership : This role includes direct supervision of both internal team members and external consultants.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the execution and continuous improvement of corporate ERP systems, ensuring alignment with the Client’s strategic priorities.
- Guide and prioritize the work of technical and functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions across financial reporting, ERP enhancements, and automation initiatives.
- Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams to translate operational needs into scalable, efficient system solutions.
- Champion the adoption of best practices in systems implementation, change management, and documentation.
- Oversee the development of project documentation including business cases, ROI analyses, technical specifications, deployment plans, and user guides.
- Mentor analysts, developers, and project managers in enterprise systems methodologies and standards.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies or enhancements that align with the Client’s digital transformation goals.
- Collaborate with other enterprise systems leaders to ensure cohesive integration across platforms and departments.
- Maintain a strong focus on stakeholder communication, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications & Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in enterprise systems leadership, including direct engagement with senior business stakeholders.Demonstrated expertise in JD Edwards (JDE) EnterpriseOne, including both functional and technical domains.Hands-on experience with JDE Orchestrator and automation frameworks is strongly preferred.Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage vendor relationships.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.Experience managing enterprise-scale projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.Familiarity with application development, systems architecture, and database design.Background in both large-scale enterprise environments and high-growth or acquisition-driven organizations is preferred.Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project or equivalent platforms.Training or certification in leadership development, risk management, or project governance is a plus.Onsite work : This position requires regular office hours at the Client's corporate offices in the greater Los Angeles area. Candidates outside of this area will be considered only if they are willing to relocate to the Client location.
