We are seeking an Acoustics Engineer with 8+ years of demonstrated experience in acoustic consulting to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team in Raleigh, North Carolina (NC). The ideal candidate will lead complex acoustic projects delivering in-depth noise analyses, mitigation strategies, and clear, actionable recommendations for clients.

Overview

We are seeking an Acoustics Engineer with 8+ years of demonstrated experience in acoustic consulting to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team in Raleigh, North Carolina (NC). The ideal candidate will lead complex acoustic projects delivering in-depth noise analyses, mitigation strategies, and clear, actionable recommendations for clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead detailed acoustic analyses and prepare comprehensive technical reports and recommendations tailored to client needs in land development projects.
• Develop and implement innovative noise mitigation strategies for diverse engineering projects such as roadways, rail systems, transit infrastructure, and industrial facilities.
• Perform acoustic measurements, sophisticated modeling, and simulations using industry-standard software (e.g., CadnaA, SoundPLAN, or similar).
• Collaborate closely with architects, civil engineers, and project teams to seamlessly integrate acoustic solutions into overall designs.
• Maintain expert knowledge of local, state, and federal acoustics-related building codes, regulations, and standards.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, overseeing timelines, budgets, deliverables, and ensuring client satisfaction and quality control.
• Conduct and supervise site visits, providing hands-on guidance during the construction and implementation of acoustic solutions.
• Serve as a technical resource on noise control, sound isolation, room acoustics, HVAC noise and vibration control, and environmental noise assessments.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous professional development within the team.
