Locum APP (PA / NP) - Hematology Oncology (Clinic Only)

About the Opportunity :

Hospital in Waterford, Connecticut, is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) with a background in Hematology Oncology to provide locum coverage in our outpatient clinic for six months, from July 1st through December 31st, 2025. This is a Monday through Friday position with no call, no weekend responsibilities, and no holiday work. The ability to see benign hematology patients independently is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities Include :

• Providing comprehensive care to hematology and oncology patients in an outpatient clinic setting.
• Conducting patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations.
• Developing and implementing patient care plans in collaboration with supervising physician(s).
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.
• Prescribing medications as appropriate and in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements.
• Providing patient education and counseling on treatment plans and disease management.
• Strongly Preferred : Independently managing benign hematology cases.

Preferred Skills : Ability to see and manage benign hematology patients independently.

Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM (No call, no weekends, no holidays).

Coverage Type : Clinic Only.

Minimum Experience : Experience as an APP in Hematology Oncology.
