The Research Scientist in the Xavier lab in the Center for Computational and Integrative Biology at MGH is a motivated and detail-oriented team member that drives multiple projects aiming at discovery, analysis and mechanistic understanding of small molecules and metabolites that drive inflammation. The work has a large mass spectrometry component. The Research Scientist evaluates experimental design, procedural results and has considerable latitude to modify or devise methods and techniques as necessary to achieve desired results. The Research Scientist reports to the Principal Investigator and is expected to work independently within a collaborative and fast-paced team environment.

Education : Doctorate Related Field of Study required. Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No.
Experience : Previous Research experience 5-7 years required. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities : Ability to contribute to publications. Experience working in any cloud platform. Must possess strong analytical skills. Demonstrated evidence of specific scientific competence in field. Excellent research skills. Good organizational skills, detail-oriented. Intermediate people management skills. Evidence of potential for scientific creativity and original thought. Experience with statistical analysis.
