We're Hiring a Restaurant Polisher!

The Four Seasons Napa Valley is looking for an individual who shares a passion for Food & Beverage and who infuses excellence into everything they do.

This is a great opportunity and stepping stone into the Food & Beverage Industry!

BASIC PURPOSE : The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards by thoroughly polishing and cleaning all surfaces and utensils within the restaurant.

Assist food servers with the serving of food, set-up and clearing of china, glass, and silver from service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

  • Polish all glassware, silverware, and utensils to ensure they are spotless and free of smudges, stains, or watermarks.
  • Stocking and restocking of china, silver and glassware for service and bar.
  • Set up tables, stations and counter as required for the operations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in dining areas, including removing debris, wiping down surfaces, and arranging furniture as needed.
  • Fold napkins / linens as necessary.
  • Greet guests in a professional manner, serve beverage and food items while explaining the contents, and anticipate and service the guest’s needs before requests are necessary.
  • Assistance with guest service including retrieving food from the kitchen and safely transporting it to guest, as well as removal of items from the guest’s table.
  • Breakdown, clean and set-up of tables, buffets, and food stations.
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and safe working environment for staff and guests.
  • Communicate effectively with management and other team members to address any cleaning or maintenance issues promptly.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support the overall operations of the restaurant.
  • Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

  • Assists with responsibilities and duties in the absence of or due to heavy volume in areas of Food & Beverage when needed.
  • Moving Tables and Chairs and other items pertaining to the operations.
  • Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by management.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS :

Education :

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience :

Minimum one-year food and beverage service or equivalent.

Skills and Abilities :

  • Must be flexible with schedule - Able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, evening / overnight shifts.
  • Ability to balance and carry trays
  • Ability to multi-task in a high volume and demanding environment.
  • Basic food and beverage service knowledge and skills
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
