Production Manager

Overview

The Production Manager reports directly to the General Manager and plays an integral role in driving operational performance and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will handle the following responsibilities :

Responsibilities

• Manage scheduling for 24 hours per day, 6 days per week operation including machine schedules and personnel, coordinating raw material rod / reel purchasing, optimizing operator / machine throughput and ensuring on-time delivery to customers.
• Facilitate a "pull environment" by continuously refining the production schedule to optimize profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Serve as liaison with sales team to calculate lead times and proactively communicate issues that impact customer promise dates.
• Drive operational excellence through ownership of metrics such as productivity, output, scrap and customer returns.
• Other duties as assigned.
