Job Summary
Partners In Home Care is seeking a reliable and compassionate Patient Service Technician to join our Durable Medical Equipment (DME) team. In this role, youll deliver oxygen and home medical supplies to clients, assemble and repair durable medical and respiratory equipment, and provide client training on the safe use of home medical equipment. This position plays an essential part in ensuring our patients receive the care and support they need to remain safe and comfortable at home.
Key Responsibilities
Drive a delivery vehicle to residences and healthcare facilities in a variety of weather conditions.Complete initial set-up of oxygen and home medical equipment in a timely and courteous manner.Repair and maintain respiratory and durable medical equipment through work order processes.Complete all required paperwork and documentation accurately and in compliance with agency and third-party payor standards.Adhere to agency and Department of Transportation driving standards.Perform routine preventive maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on assigned equipment. Report any malfunctions promptly.Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours and emergency service requests.Rotate through dispatch responsibilities with other Patient Service Technicians.Follow infection control and safety policies, including cleaning and maintaining equipment per universal precautions.Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.Valid drivers license required.Prior experience in durable medical equipment, respiratory services, or a related healthcare field preferred.Physical Demands & Working Conditions
Frequent driving in varied weather conditions.Ability to perform medium lifting on a frequent basis.Position involves sitting, standing, kneeling, bending, and squatting throughout the workday.Occasional exposure to blood and bodily fluids.
