We’re looking for a Design Engineer to join our team in Portland!

We're seeking an ambitious Design Engineer with an interest in land development and civil engineering. In this role, you'll apply your technical knowledge to support a diverse portfolio of large-scale projects, enhancing both your technical skills and professional growth. You'll collaborate closely with experienced engineers to ensure accurate reporting and progress updates. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and grow within a supportive, knowledgeable team. Some of your key responsibilities include :

Responsibilities :

• Project Design for Site Development
• Grading and Stormwater Plans
• Utility Systems for Water and Sewer
• Report Preparation
• Preparation of Specifications and Cost Estimates
• Projects include Residential, Commercial, Mixed-use, Roadway, Highway, and Public Works projects
• Field engineering during the construction phase

Requirements

Physical Demands : Must be able to regularly talk, hear and operate a computer, keyboard and mouse and occasionally lift, pull / push and carry up to 20 pounds with accommodations.

Work Conditions : Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds at a low or moderate level consistent with an office setting. Exposure to high-stress, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Travel to other BKF locations and client sites may be required.
