What is the role of the Plant Facilities? The Plant Facilities are here to provide our crews and customers with all of the quality materials they need to get their jobs completed at a low cost. We have two facilities - North Charleston and Summerville. Each facility consists of an asphalt plant, rail unloading facility, and rap crusher.

Job Overview : The Plant Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our industrial plant facilities. This position involves a combination of technical and problem-solving skills to maintain, repair, and install plant equipment and systems. The Plant Maintenance Technician is responsible for planned, preventive, and corrective maintenance operations to minimize downtime and ensure operational continuity.

Responsibilities :

• Performing Maintenance and Repairs : Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair malfunctions in plant machinery, equipment, and systems, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and process control systems. This may involve reading technical manuals and utilizing computer software for diagnostics.
• Preventive Maintenance : Implement and execute preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure optimal efficiency and safety. This includes performing routine tasks like cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting machinery.
• Inspecting and Monitoring : Regularly inspect machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and ensure they meet safety and performance standards.
• Installation : Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems.
• Safety and Compliance : Adhere to all safety regulations and ensure a clean and safe work environment. Ensure all equipment meets safety standards.
• Teamwork and Communication : Collaborate with other technicians, supervisors, and relevant personnel to ensure efficient maintenance operations.
• Problem-solving : Utilize strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues quickly to minimize operational downtime.
