Tactical Strength and Conditioning Coach
Aquila's full-time Tactical Strength and Conditioning Coach assists in overseeing fitness and strength and conditioning programs, assisting members in safe and effective exercise and performing a wide range of technical exercise and administrative duties in health / fitness setting.
Location : Chesterfield, VA, in-person. Must be able to travel to various locations in Chesterfield County
Work Days : Monday-Friday, 40 hours a week
Pay Rate : $28-$32 / hour (depending on credentials and experience) plus full benefits package

Responsibilities include :
Act as liaison on-site with Aquila's client contactMake recommendations and assist in the formulation of fitness center policies and plansSupervise and monitor exercise participants, perform exercise assessments, and exercise prescriptionTeach group fitness movement classesProvide nutrition counselingConduct personal fitness training sessions with members of fitness centerAssist with selection and supervision of group fitness instructors when neededPrepare reports as needed regarding the fitness center operationsSupervise exercise areasEducate members concerning safe exercise techniquesPerform exercise assessments and prescribe exercise upon American College of Sports Medicine guidelinesConduct safe and effective assessments including cardiovascular, strength, flexibility and body composition analysis; evaluate and interpret data and identify high risk participants and special populationsAid members - spotting and equipment usage & explain all equipmentEnsure the maintenance, cleanliness and safety of all equipmentAdhere to departmental and club policies and proceduresAdhere to client's policies and proceduresAttend staff meetingsAssist in wellness and fitness promotions and external eventsPerform daily administrative dutiesQualifications :
Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Health Promotion or closely related areaActive NCCA accredited National Fitness Certification - (ACE, ACSM, NSCA, NASM, NCSF, NCCPT or AFAA), preferably an NSCA - CSCSActive CPR / BLS certification3 or more years fitness experience. tactical experience preferredSkills required :
Strong organizational and managerial skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsCustomer service orientedComputer knowledge : Microsoft Office Products & Network InternetModern principles and practices of organization, administration, budget, and managementActs with a sense of urgencyExcellent communication, organizational and management skillsDetail oriented, punctual and motivatingAll candidates must be able to complete a criminal background check.
