Program Planner Analyst
The Department of Internal Medicine is the largest and most complex Department in the Morsani College of Medicine with over 26 Divisions, Programs, and Centers / Institute and total human resources in excess of 1,000. The Department's research activities are numerous and involve both basic and clinical research activities in all sub-specialties of Internal Medicine.
The Disease Intervention Specialist Training Academy (DISTA) is a collaboration between the Florida Department of Health and USF (Colleges of Medicine, Public Health, Nursing, and Community & Behavioral Sciences). DISTA provides an innovative multi-disciplinary approach to educate the State of Florida's public health and / or health care workforce. The Training Academy will provide the public health workers with advanced and specific training needed to support professional growth.
The Department of Internal Medicine invites applications for a Program Planner Analyst to join the Disease Intervention Specialist Training Academy (DISTA) team to work alongside faculty and staff in multiple colleges to implement this workforce development program. The Program Planner Analyst is responsible for program planning, implementation, and evaluation and will coordinate essential functions of the team including course development, in-person training events, standing meetings, and marketing and communications.
Event and Training Coordination : Plan and execute logistics for virtual and in-person training events. Ensure venue booking, material preparation, and technical support are delivered on schedule, with contingency planning for disruptions. Develop event planning and day-of schedules. Collaborate with course instructors to ensure agendas, training materials, and training session plans are finalized and shared.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication : Lead communications with learners and provide support during registration and completion of training components. Collaborate with team to implement marketing strategy, including development of materials and content, administration of social media accounts, and presentation during events and conferences.
Cross-Team and Interagency Collaboration : Coordinate meetings and communications with cross-college team, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders. Participate in joint planning and execution of deliverables. Administer shared email and file-sharing platforms.
Data Collection : Responsible for quantitative and qualitative assessment activities. This will include working with partners, subject matter experts, Principal Investigators, and internal / external stakeholders to collect data regarding training needs; review existing information on public health systems; and to develop systems to further determine gaps, compile results, and generate reports of recommended priorities for the team.
Reporting : Responsible for aiding in all efforts to comply with program reporting requirements, including progress reports, learner enrollment and completion status, and meeting minutes. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum : The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Communications, Social Work, Project Management, Public Administration, or related field and two years of community programs and / or project coordination experience; or Master's degree in an area of specialization appropriate for the program. Preferred : A Master's degree in Public Health, Communications, Social Work, Project Management, Public Administration, or related field. At least one year of project management, program development, and health course development / coordination experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience working in a university setting.
