We are looking to add a Housekeeping Supervisor to our team!

Position Overview

The Housekeeping Inspector is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation in guest rooms and Roost spaces at Roost Detroit. This role ensures rooms are properly cleaned, stocked, and prepared for guest arrival through detailed inspections, inventory control, and—when needed—performing room cleaning duties.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect guest rooms to verify cleanliness, condition, and compliance with Roost Detroit standards.

Ensure rooms are properly stocked with amenities, linens, and supplies.

Document and report deficiencies, damages, or maintenance needs.

Provide coaching and feedback to Room Attendants to maintain consistency and quality.

Clean guest rooms as needed to support team operations or during high occupancy periods.

Oversee and manage housekeeping inventory for guest rooms and Roost spaces :

Track usage of linens, amenities, and cleaning supplies.

Report low stock levels and assist with inventory counts.

Monitor proper storage and rotation of supplies.

Communicate room readiness and inspection results to the Housekeeping Manager and Front Office.

Ensure safety and sanitation guidelines are consistently followed in rooms and Roost spaces.

Qualifications

Previous housekeeping and / or inspection experience in hospitality strongly preferred.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

Ability to manage inventory accurately and efficiently.

Organizational and communication skills with the ability to coach team members.

Flexibility to perform both inspection and cleaning responsibilities.

Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.

Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.

Comfortable working with cleaning equipment and chemicals safely.
