Thompson First Group is seeking Service Technicians for permanent opportunities for a local client in Rockford, IL.
The right candidate will have at least three years of experience working as Automotive Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, Farm Equipment Mechanic or a Forklift Mechanic.
Responsibilities
- Road Mechanic should be experienced in electronics and hydraulics repair
- Diesel and gas engine repairs
- The ability to service and maintain fleet of aerial and heavy equipment
- Communicate with managers to asses customer needs
- Troubleshoot and complete repairs of industrial and construction equipment
- Complete all technician paperwork.
- Assure all parts order have been submitted to parts department
- Perform detailed pre job and post job inspections
- Follow warranty procedure for associated repairs
- Keep a clean and safe work area
- Work well with other technicians when help is needed
Qualifications
- Clean driving record
- Technical experience
- Ability to read and comprehend electrical schematic
- Detail oriented
- Good communication skills
- Sufficient hand tools
- Prompt and consistent attendance
