Child Protective Investigator
Mission : The Department of Children and Families protects the vulnerable, promotes strong and economically self-sufficient families, and advances personal and family recovery and resiliency.
Purpose : This role serves to safeguard children in crisis by ensuring safety through quick, compassionate actions. We seek individuals who are detailed-oriented, capable of good decision-making, and able to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of policy compliance, time management, planning, intervention, evaluation, documentation, engagement and teamwork related to domestic violence, mental health, and / or substance abuse; ability to establish effective relationships with colleagues.
Physical requirements : ability to ambulate on varied terrains, ascend / descend stairs, evacuate during emergencies, normal vision / hearing with or without correction, perform repetitive movements, lift up to 30 pounds, assist clients, and drive as needed. Long shifts (up to 16 hours) may occur.
