This role involves working daytime shifts from 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience. The documentation system used in this role is EPIC. Provider support includes Interpretation Services, Pharmacy, Phlebotomy, Social Services, and a Unit Secretary. Patient diagnoses primarily include various types of cancer. Special procedures and unit details involve Psychosocial Oncology, which offers emotional support through counseling. Oncology rehabilitation is available to enhance physical function and mobility impaired by cancer and / or treatment. Fertility preservation and reproductive consultation services are provided for family planning and sexual function concerns. Integrative oncology offers a holistic evaluation and complementary medicine alternatives. Survivorship care promotes wellness and care coordination for cancer survivors. Services are also available for adolescents and young adults aged 15-39 diagnosed with cancer. Key skills required for this position include setting up and assisting with procedures, specimen collection, and performing office duties. Specific tasks include dressing changes, venipuncture, labeling of specimens, and making pharmacy calls for patient refill requests. Interpretation of laboratory results and conducting patient health questionnaires are essential functions of this role. Candidates will also engage in telephone triage and obtain vital signs. This position supports various patient age groups, primarily adults. Interdisciplinary support is provided in the form of multiple services to assist patients throughout their care journey. It is essential to be proactive with credentialing requirements promptly. Two professional references are mandatory for application. No coworker references will be accepted.
