Open Minds Preschool is seeking a passionate and experienced Music Teacher to join our team. As a Preschool Music Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing a love for music and fostering creativity in young children aged 3 to 5 years old.

Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement age-appropriate music curriculum tailored to the developmental needs of preschool children.
• Conduct fun and interactive music classes that incorporate singing, movement, rhythm, and basic musical concepts.
• Introduce children to a variety of musical instruments and encourage hands-on exploration.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where children feel comfortable expressing themselves through music.
• Collaborate with other teachers to integrate music into interdisciplinary activities and thematic units.
• Assess children's progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly to meet individual learning needs.
• Communicate regularly with parents about their child's musical development and provide resources for extending learning at home.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events as required.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Music Education, Early Childhood Education, or related field preferred.
• Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in a teaching or childcare setting.
• Proficiency in playing a musical instrument (e.g., piano, guitar, ukulele) and knowledge of basic music theory.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate young learners.
• Creativity, patience, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive school culture.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
