Compensation: $65,000 - $75,000 (Dependent on Experience)

We are looking for a compassionate Interventional Radiologic Technologist to join in our calling to provide exceptional patient care founded on integrity, hope, and a commitment to advocate for every patient who walks through our doors. This position prioritizes patient safety, education, and communication to ensure transparency and peace of mind.
Under the direction of a Radiologist, this position performs diagnostic/therapeutic procedures, requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.
Performs the following:
Reviews patient identification, orders, and history to ensure correct patient, procedure, imaging site, and protocols for radiologist as needed.
Transports patients to and from the exam room and assists them into position using safe patient handling techniques and equipment.
Performs Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures and observes patient during procedure to ensure patient's safety and comfort.
Administers contrast materials as required and initiate emergency response to contrast reaction as needed.
Obtains and evaluates images for technical quality assurance factors including image laterality marking and annotation as required by IR procedure protocols.
Utilizes RIS, PACS and other, ancillary image management systems as needed.
Assists in coordination of daily workflow for the department’s activities
Maintains equipment in efficient operating order including documenting quality control and contacting for service repairs or maintenance as needed
Education:
Graduate from an interventional radiology technologist education program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
Bachelor’s Degree, at least two years of experience in radiology and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART).
MUST possess Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) that is approved by the American Heart Association and reads BLS Healthcare Provider Course in the subjects listed
MUST possess a Certificate of Vascular-Interventional Radiology (VIR) or Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology (CVIR).
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid and current AZ State Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license Required
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Valid and current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Required
Proof of current Basic Life Support (BLS) must be provided prior to start date
